VALUE virtual labs conducted an Annual Nodal Centre Conference on 12th May 2017 as a part of the VALUE Nodal Centre program at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, Kollam, Kerala. This event brought institute coordinators across India to expand ICT-based education in laboratory learning. The one-day conference-cum-workshop was attended by 60 institutes from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Telangana.
Dr. Krishnashree Achuthan, Principal Investigator VALUE Virtual labs, Dr. Shyam Diwakar, Co-Principal Investigator, VALUE Virtual Labs, Dr. Bala Shankar, Associate Dean, Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapuri campus and Dr. Jyothi S N, Principal, Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapuri officially inaugurated the event.
Top 5 institutes from the nodal centre list were selected for the special recognition award on the basis of yearly virtual lab usage at their institute. The awardees were Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Tamil Nadu, BMS College of Engineering, Karnataka, SAINTGITS College of Engineering, Kerala, St: Paul's Arts and Science College, Kerala and T. K. Madhava Memorial Arts and Science Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara, Kerala.
VALUE Virtual Labs also presents the best nodal coordinator award on the basis of the performance and distinguished contribution to the field of implementation of virtual labs at their institute in the academic year May 2016 to April 2017. Dr. Krishnashree Achuthan gives away the awards to Dr. V. Anbazhagan and Dr. Senthil Kumar, VMKV Engineering college, Salem.
Based on the consistency usage of virtual labs, VALUE virtual labs presents the recognition certificate to 34 institutes from various states of India.
