1. Study the relationship between current and voltage by varying the input stimuli amplitude and duration. Report the observation include the number of spikes, spike amplitude and delay for varying input signal.
2. Study the effect of capacitance in HH neuron model by modifying the parameter Cm in membrane tab to 1.5 nF to 2.0 nF with an increment of 0.1. Compare the results (First spike latency, spike amplitude and width) to HH neuron model with default values (Reset will help to reset all value of parameter to default).
3. Study the effect of conductance in HH neuron model by modifying the parameter gNa and gK of channel tab channel details sub window. Record the membrane potential V by changing
Case 1 : gNa = 120 µS and gK = 36 µS (default)
Case 2 : gNa = 0 µS and gK = 36 µS
Case 3: gNa = 120 µS and gK = 0 µS
Case 4 : gNa = 60 µS and gK = 18 µS (50% of default/standard value)
4. Study the effect of drugs (TTX and TEA) in HH neuron model by applying TTX and TEA (modifying the gNa and gK of sodium and potassium channels respectively) in drug tab.
Case 1 : TTX = 0% and TEA = 0 % (default)
Case 2 : TTX = 50% and TEA = 0 %
Case 3: TTX = 0% and TEA = 50 %
Case 4 : TTX = 50% and TEA = 50%
report the observations including the number of spikes, spike amplitude and delay.
NOTE: Hit the reset button at the right corner of the simulation control window, to reset all parameters to its initial/default values.
