Effect of temperature on enzyme kinetics
.
.

Assignment:

1. From this experiment, we calculated the optimum temperature needed for amylase activity. Same way do the experiment with different enzymes and calculate optimum temperature needed for its activity and compare the results.

2. The rate of a chemical reaction will double (reaction will go twice as fast) for every 10°C increase in temperature. This observation holds for enzyme-catalyzed reactions up to a certain temperature range (different for each enzyme), at which the rate stops increasing and then decreases sharply as the temperature increases. Explain?
