The user can access any module of the Lab through a single action of authentication and authorisation. The Collaborative & Accessibility Platform supports OAuth and Open-ID based authentication through multiple OAuth providers or with the username and password provided.
OAuth (Open Authorisation) is an open standard that allow users to share private information (e.g. photos, videos, contact lists) stored on one site with another site without having to hand out their credentials, typically username and password.
Open-ID is an open standard that is a single sign-on system that allows Internet users to log on to many different sites using a single digital identity, thus eliminating the need for a different username and password for each site.
