.

Procedure

  1. Click power button  to connect to the device. The  button indicates device on status.
  2. Set the input stimuli by selecting the radio button . Frequency & amplitude of the input square stimuli signal are assigned for each radio button.
  3. Click    to apply input stimuli. Verify through the live video window whether the yellow light is blinking or not. The selected input stimuli can be seen in the input panel as:
  4. View the output on the membrane potential graph.
  5.

  6. Apply the input stimuli with noiseto see the effects of noise on membrane potential.
  7.

  8. Use  to pause the signal.
  9. Click  to reset the whole experiment.

  10. To maximize & minimize each panels click.
  11. The PCB & circuit diagram can be viewed from the panel . To switch between circuit diagram & PCB use   button.

  12. The live video can be viewed from  panels.
  13. To export the result of RT experiment select  or  formats. Select the signals to be exported.
  14. Then click on  & save it to desired location.

  15. Switch off the device by clicking.

For example start the experiments by connecting the device .Select the input stimuli with A=1Vpp and F=20Hz. Apply the input excitation to the analog neuron circuit by clicking start button. Maximize the live video window to verify whether device is running or not. The applied input stimuli and generated action potential can be viewed in the input stimuli and membrane potential graph respectively. Apply the noise signal along with input stimuli and find out how noise affects membrane potential. The user can also export the values which are chosen to get plotted on the graph using the Export Button. After clicking on this button, you can save your file at the specified location in .csv format and can use later by importing these values into either MS-Excel sheet or MATLAB for high resolution images.
