Study of Synaptic Transmission (Remote trigger)
.
.

 Procedure

 i. Click power button    to Connect to the device.

ii. Set the input stimuli by selecting the radio button   having preset values.   Frequency & amplitude of the input square stimuli signal are assigned for radio button.

iii. Click      to apply input stimuli. View the membrane potential at two neuron output and synapse current obtained in the respective panels. Verify through  the live video window whether  the GREEN  light is blinking or not.

iv.  Vary the Esyn2    value to see the effects of synapse gain & observe its effects in the output.

v .  Use     button to pause the signal.

vi.  Click     to reset the whole experiment.

vii.  To maximize & minimize  each panels use   button.

viii. The live video can be viewed from  panel.

ix.  To export the result of RT experiment selects   or         format.

x. Then click on    & save it to desired location.

For example, start the experiments by connecting the device .Select the input stimuli with A=1Vpp and F=20Hz. Apply the input excitation to the analog neuron circuit by clicking start button. Maximize the live video window to verify whether device is running or not. The applied input stimuli, generated action potential at two neuron output and synapse current  can be viewed in the input stimuli, membrane potential graph and synapse current graph respectively. Vary the synapse gain and find out how it affects second neuron output.

The user can also export the values which are chosen to get plotted on the graph using the Export Button. After clicking on this button, you can save your file at the specified location in .csv format and can use later by importing these values into either MS-Excel sheet or MATLAB for high resolution images.
