BPSK Modulation and Demodulation(Simulation experiment)
.
.

Following steps should be done before performing the experiment offline

1.Go to download page and download Runtime engine,Scilab and ScilabScript.dll .

2.After installing Scilab and Labview RunTime engine, copy paste the ScilabScript.dll file in"<drive>:/Program Files/National     Instruments/Shared/LabVIEW Run-Time/2009/script"

 3. Download the exe file and start performing the experiment. (Scilab must be installed) .

Modulation and Demodulation

1. Click on the Test Points (T.P) buttons to view the output waveform at that point. You can also check and compare multiple outputs by pressing all the T.P buttons one by one

2. Vary SNR step by step and observe the changes in the output. Here two types of Demodulators are used (Squaring Loop and Costas Loop).

Before moving to BER calculation STOP the application by the STOP button in the front panel

BER Calculation

In digital transmission, the bit error rate or bit error ratio (BER) is the number of received bits that have been altered due to noise, interference and distortion, divided by the total number of transferred bits during a studied time interval. BER is a unitless performance measure, often expressed as a percentage number.

1. Select type of Demodulation and also the required SNR and then RUN the application. The calculated BER value will be shown in the box and a message will be displayed after the calculation is over.

2. Select only one type of Demodulator at a time and note down all the BER for respective SNR's. Plot it and compare your plot with the ideal waveform.
