In the course of one week the VALUE initiative has reached out to a further 3 colleges bestowing upon them the title of Virtual Labs Nodal Centre. The VALUE team has visited and inaugurated Virtual Lab Nodal Centres at Mar Thoma College, Thiruvalla, D.B Pamba College, Parumala and St Berchmans College, Changanacherry. Embracing the move to delivering education through Information and Computer Technology, these colleges held a formal inaugural event after which both faculty and students were presented with the background of this Ministry of Human Resource Development funded project along with a live demonstration of the VALUE Virtual Lab simulations and features. These colleges along with CMS College, Kottayam, which was the first college to be inaugurated last week, are the first set of Nodal Centres who have joined hands with Amrita to work collaboratively to implement Virtual Labs as part of their curriculum in the education of physics and chemistry. With many more colleges in line to sign up as a Nodal Centre, which include out of state colleges, Virtual Labs is on course for a big impact on colleges throughout India.
