1. Get the protein sequence of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) from NCBI and go to Prosite (EBI).

  • List down the matching patterns.
  • Find out the positions of matching patterns.
  • Describe in which family our entered sequence belongs to.

 

2.  Get the protein sequence of human keratin protein from NCBI and go to Prosite (EBI).

  • Find out the accession number of the entered query
  • Find out the pattern associated with the entered query.
  • Change the parameter, ‘INCLUDE ABUNDANT PATTERNS’ and analyze the results.

 

3.  Get the protein sequence of human albumin protein from NCBI and go to Prosite (EBI).

 

  • List down the matching patterns.
  • Find out the positions of matching patterns
  • Describe in which family our entered sequence belongs to.
  • Change the parameters like ‘INCLUDE ABUNDANT PATTERNS’, VIEW RESULTS IN ASCII GRAPHICS’ etc. and analyze the results.
